Amatullah’s Wings started as a platform to raise awareness about my daughter’s rare skin disorder called Epidermolysis Bullosa, also known as butterfly skin, the challenges we faced and the lessons we’ve learnt throughout our journey.
Our aim is to use this platform as a means of benefiting others, be it through sharing our lived EB experience, sharing our grief after her passing, or using the proceeds of our sales to benefit families in need.
Giving Back
Living with EB is extremely painful and exhausting, but we didn’t want our daughter to grow up being ungrateful for the blessings she did have, so we aimed to expose her to people who has less than she did in the hope that it inspired a sense of gratitude within her.
She was the driving force behind our involvement in Mission Manenberg, and our motivation to run EB Awareness programs for both adults and kids.
Some of the projects we did are:
A legacy of inspiration
Only a few months shy of four years old when she passed away, Amatullah left a huge impression on everyone who knew her.
Her life (and death) showed me that age was nothing but a number when it comes to the legacy you leave behind.
She inspired us to put our best foot forward in helping others. Of the projects we’ve been involved in since her passing are:
